6 cops in Failon case axed (ファイロン事件で6名の警察官クビに)
SIX Quezon City policemen were suspended for six months without pay by the National Police Commission over the way they handled the investigation of the death of broadcaster Ted Failon’s wife.

Franklin Moises Mabanag, chief of the Quezon City Police District Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit, his deputy chief Supt. Gerardo Ratuita, Chief Insp. Cherry Lou Donato, Chief Insp. Enrico Figueroa, Senior Insp. Roberto Razon and Insp. Erlinda Garcia.

(国家捜査局は、トリニダッドが自殺をしたことを早期に確定していた) Mabanag filed charges of obstruction of justice against the victim’s sister Pamela Arteche-Trinchera and Failon’s helpers Carlota Morbos, Wilfreda Bollicer, Pacifico Apacible and Glen Polan for cleaning the crime scene, altering material evidence and for their failure to report the incident to the police.
